The final conference of the European Social Fund-funded program “Young researchers’ career development project – training of new PhDs” (ESF-DOK -2018-01) was held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Rectorate of the University of Zagreb.
During the conference, which was attended by representatives of the Croatian Science Foundation as well as numerous Ph.D. students and mentors, the achievements of Ph.D. students employed within this project were presented. For the field of natural sciences, the representative was Ph.D. Petra Zemunik, an employee of our Laboratory of Physical Oceanography.
On this occasion, she presented her Ph.D. thesis and shared valuable experience that was inspiring and useful for all guests. She also announced to the attendees the direction in which she will continue her further education and scientific career.
Petra is the winner of the Institute for Scientific Excellence Young Scientist Award in 2021 for her research on high-frequency sea level oscillations and has published three articles in prestigious scientific journals in the same year.
