Workshop on circular bioeconomy was organized by Institute

19.04.2024.

We had the privilege to organize a one-day workshop on Circular Bioeconomy in the Aquaculture Sector and welcome participants from both Norway and Croatia at the Institute in Split, Croatia.

The workshop is a result of bilateral cooperation between Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries and SINTEF Ocean, financed by Norway Grants for Business Programme in Croatia and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Zagreb.

Circular bioeconomy advocates for a comprehensive strategy to optimize resource usage, reduce waste, and mitigate environmental impact. By-products from fisheries and aquaculture, along with the use of low trophic marine organisms, are attributes to pursue toward sustainability.

The new acquaintances, along with up-to-date research, made this event dynamic and engaging.
