Melita Peharda Uljević awarded for Scientific Achievement in the Field of Natural Sciences for the year 2022

Ph.D. Melita Peharda Uljević is awarded for the Highest Scientific and Artistic Achievements in the Republic of Croatia for the year 2022 in the field of natural sciences.

With her scientific work, she has contributed significantly to the research of biological and ecological characteristics of bivalves and sclerochronology of bivalves and fish. In the last five years, she has published 27 scientific papers, which are the result of teamwork and productive collaboration with colleagues from Croatia and abroad. The research was mainly conducted within two research projects: SCOOL (2015-2019) and BiVACME (2022-2024), financed by the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ).

The awards of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) were awarded on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the People’s House after the ceremonial session of HAZU on the occasion of the Academy Day.
