Organized by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, the annual meeting of the international working group WGEUROBUS (Working Group Towards a EURopean Observatory of the non-indigenous calanoid copepod Pseudodiaptomus marinUS), which operates within the The International Council For The Exploration Of The Sea, was held on October 24-25, 2023.
WGEUROBUS connects European scientists and institutions researching various aspects of the biology and ecology of the Indo-Pacific planktonic shrimp Pseudodiaptomus marinus Sato, 1913, which is rapidly expanding in the world’s oceans under the influence of anthropogenic activities (ballast water, aquaculture).
The purpose of the working group is to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among participants through comparative and integrative studies from different research areas, including distribution, physiology, and molecular ecology.
