Project Blue-connect

This project aims to bring science and scientists closer to the general public, increase visibility and raise awareness of the importance of science in the everyday life of citizens. The project aims to promote the professions of researchers among young people and to generally build trust in science among the general public.

The European Researchers’ Night takes place every year, on the last Friday of September. The European Researchers’ Night targets the general public, addressing and attracting people regardless of the level of their scientific background, with a special focus on families, pupils and students, and notably those who do not have easy access to, and thus are less inclined to engage in STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) or research activities.

The European Researchers’ Night  will be held in the 5 largest coastal cities of the Republic of Croatia, in public spaces, all events will be open to the public so that those interested can communicate directly with scientists and researchers and participate in experiments. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about different areas of research in science, participate in interactive installations, debates, quizzes, competitions, the topics of which can be divided into 5 thematic groups: health; climate change and social transformation; healthy oceans, seas and inland waters; climate neutral cities and food and health.
