The Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries has initiated another cross-border cooperation as part of the Interreg VI-A IPA programme Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021-2027, specifically the project titled “Enhancing Cross-Border Blue Growth: Fostering Innovation and Cooperation for Competitive Entrepreneurship (BLUECONNECT)”, in which it is a partner.

The project’s goal is to establish a sustainable system of cross-border cooperation that supports the growth and advancement of the “Blue Growth” sector in the target region.

The official kick-off meeting for the BLUECONNECT project was held in Kotor (Montenegro), where our scientists from the Fisheries Biology Laboratory also participated. During the meeting, the Project Management Team (PMT) was formed, with defined roles and responsibilities, marking a key step towards effective coordination among partners from Montenegro, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
