My research is in the field of marine microbial ecology. My research is focused on studying the ecology of prokaryotic and eukaryotic plankton (community structure and function) in different natural and experimental conditions and on different spatial and temporal scales. Recently, my attention is devoted to the impact of global climate warming on the microbial food web.
